Ruth K R Keating
I am a freelance graphic designer based in London with over 17 years of publishing industry experience.Â
Leaving my home in Ireland, I undertook an Art Foundation course at Falmouth University. From there, I went on to study Graphic Art (Lens and Digital Media) at East Anglia University. After my degree, I moved to London, where I worked as a sole assistant for lifestyle and advertising photographer, David Leahy.
In 2006, I joined Music Sales/Omnibus Press, where I spent 12 eventful years. Starting as a production assistant and working my way up to become a senior designer. After that, I worked for a further 4 and a half years at Hal Leonard Europe as their sole UK designer. Working as an in-house designer was an incredible experience, but I eventually decided it was time to branch out on my own, take on new challenges, and collaborate on a broader range of projects.
In my free time, I’m into anything involving boats, coops, and music. I’m a proud boater and co-founder of Surge Cooperative Limited, a moorings cooperative in London that’s passionate about affordable moorings and clean waterways.Â
